We would like you to know that this site was created to have fun roleplaying all our favorite Kuroshitsuji characters in an orderly and respectful manner. We do not like to roleplay with people who are complete jerks to those around them, but at the same time we don't like boring squares. These rules were formed by us so everyone can have a good time without any problems.
✖OOC RULES
• Please be kind and courteous to the other members of this site, especially the staff. First of all, it makes the site less enjoyable for the other roleplayers when they don't have a friendly community around them, and second of all, we, the staff, are here to help you and not fight with you. How would you like it if you made something nice for a someone, and they were just rude to you the entire time? As the Golden Rule states, ‘Do unto others, as you would like them to do unto you.’
• If you do happen to have an argument with another member, please spare everyone else and keep it private (via PM or another way you contact that person). In character arguments are acceptable, but just because your characters are having a disagreement, that doesn't mean it's okay for you to argue out-of-character. Also, if things get out of hand with another person, please contact a staff member right away! Once again, we are here to help you and not fight with you.
• PLEASE DO NOT ACT AS A STAFF MEMBER WOULD IN THE CHAT. Leave it to the people who have actually been appointed to those positions. If you have a problem in the chatbox, PM and Administrator immediately! We would prefer to keep Requiem as drama-free as possible. Once again, if you must argue, keep it private
• Please keep conversations such as religion and any other sensitive topics out of the cbox. We don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable on here.
• If you create an account, please take the time to fill out an application. You have two weeks to create a character (and 5 for canon auditions, sorry, but there may be others that want to try out), if you do not fill out an application and post it on the Registration Board, you can either tell us you need more time (in that case, we'll give you an extra few days unless it's a canon character, which you can simply reapply for) and if you don't respond within the next 48 hours, your account will be removed.
• Once you have an accepted character application, we expect you to keep active. This is especially important if you play a canon character. We will have an activity check each month, which you must also post in. You do not have to actively be posting in the roleplaying boards since that can sometimes be very difficult, but as long as you can pop in an say 'hey I'm still here', that would be fantastic. If you play a canon character and fail to remain active, we will make your account inactive and open your character for someone else to audition for. It wouldn't be fun for the person that plays Sebastian to not have his Ciel active now, would it?
• If you need to leave for a while, please let us know! We have a board set up especially for that, and nobody will give you a hard time if you are having problems in real life, or if you simply need some time to clear your head.
• Each member is entitled to their own opinion when it comes to the review process of their character's application, but you must remain respectful. If you have any issues regarding the acceptance process, we ask that you please deal with the staff member who is reviewing your application. All reviews will be explained in detail, spelling out exactly what we would like to have changed. If the staff member has made an error on their behalf, they will correct themselves and make the necessary adjustments to further the application process. Not only are we an advanced site, but we also have usergroups that allow powers. Because of this, we wish to see correct grammar, reasonable strengths and weaknesses for specific powers to balance one another out, and some historical accuracy. In the end, all staff judgment is final and should be respected.
• For images, all icons are to be 100x100 pixels, and signatures can be 500x350 pixels at the most. We would rather not have signatures that stretch the page, so that is why we are specifying this. Posting tables should not stretch the boards either. Large avatar image widths are 220 x 385.
• We ask that all accounts have both icons on their profile and an image for their large avatar.
✖CHARACTER APPLICATIONS
• This site is a one character per account site. We would not like to see any names such as michaelis666. All canon character accounts must have login names like sebastianmichaelis OR ciel. Your OC accounts must be the same way; johnsmith or jane. Please set your account's display name to your character's first and last name like this: Hannah Anafeloz. If you do set it to something like Anafeloz, Hannah or include a middle name, we will change it to how we asked you to do it. If you want an account with the name you go by, vel for example, you may create one just to participate in OOC and character tracking threads if you would like.
• All characters are required to have a face claim from an anime, manga, video game, or from a fandom where anime/manga styled fanart can be found (ex: BBC Sherlock).
• All character applications should be filled out with care. We will not accept applications that lack detail, proper grammar and spelling, or interesting things about your character. All Mary-Sue's and Gary-Stu's will not be accepted either. Feel free to add your headcanons to your canon character's application! You are playing them, after all, and you have to make them your own in some way, right?
• If you've actually read all these rules, please place "something lost will never return" somewhere in your application.
• All applications should be posted in the Registration Board. Do not try to post it in one of the accepted boards; it will not work.
• Please give the staff up to 48 hours to accept your application. Just as you do, we have our own personal lives away from the Internet. If your application does not have a response after 48 hours, please send one of us a polite PM or post on your application again. Even though we will still evaluate your app, we do not like it when people flame us with messages to accept their app.
• After your application is accepted by one of us, we will move it to the appropriate accepted board. All you have to do is post in the face claim (if your character is an OC), who plays who list, and have fun on the boards!
✖IN-CHARACTER RULES
• All in-character posts (with the exception of the IC Games, Existence, and Relationship threads) should be posted in the third person. Each post should be written like "Grell went on a search for Sebastian." and not "I went on a search for Sebastian."
• Seeing that this is a literate roleplaying site, we expect you to have a decent vocabulary and grasp of proper grammar. In saying this, all applications will also be looked at for grammar and spelling as well as content.
• All in-character posts (once again, with the exception of the IC Games, Existence, and Relationship threads) should be consisted of at least 300 words. This is a literate roleplay and we do not tolerate one-liner posts. Add some detail! What if you wrote a long and detailed post for someone and they responded with one sentence?
• Literally anything goes on this site so if your post exceeds a PG-13/T rating limit, please put something like [M]/[R]/[NC-17]/etc. in the topic title. If you have to ask if your thread is a rating higher than PG-13/T then it most likely is and you should set it as such.
• Once again, this is a literate roleplay. We expect you to be able to have some ability to make posts that are decent lengths, and are also descriptive. Quality over quantity is preferred, but please also make an effort to have them both fairly equal to one another. It's no fun if you write a 1000+ word post and all you get in return is a couple paragraphs just over our posting minimum (300 words).
• Pregnancies and suicides are both normal things, but please PM one of the staff members before you have your character do so. Same goes with natural deaths that do not subsequently allow your character to become a demon/angel/shinigami.
